ABOUT

DevC is a united event where participants create Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). New graduates gain hands-on experience, working with mentors to develop portfolio projects. Mentors enhance project management and leadership skills. Participants collaborate with developers, designers, and researchers, and product leaders promoting innovation. This experience provides practical, real-world experience. Collaborating with various individuals cultivates creativity and innovation, enhancing skills and career prospects. 

OBJECTIVE

The objective in DevC is to bring together people from various roles in software development, such as product leads, researchers, designers, developers, and testers. The goal is to create a space where we can work together building a MVP, share knowledge, and improve our skills. Overall, DevC is about gaining hands-on experience learning, innovating, and collaborating to make a difference in the software development industry.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for DevC typically include requirements such as being a student or recent graduate, having a background in software development or related fields, and being interested in gaining hands-on experience in building real-world projects.

Step 2: Press the "Join Hackathon" button on this Devpost page under the "DevC 1.0" title.

Step 3: Join the DevC 1.0 discord server to participate and stay connected with events going on during the hackathon (additional info about the event is posted on the info channel in the server), as well as to take part of workshops/meetings taking place before/during/after the event.

Requirements

Submissions will be through a video in which all the teams will present their projects and their project code to the judges. If possible, participants should link their project's Github code or a link to their project's website. 

The video should be around 2-3 minutes, and should also answer the following questions:

  • What is the purpose of your project and how does it address the prompt?
  • Who is the audience of your project and who would it be useful for?
  • What challenges did you encounter/overcome in making your project?

Prompt

Develop a software solution that streamlines a specific business process or improves efficiency within a company. Your solution should address a common challenge faced by businesses and demonstrate innovation, scalability, and practicality in solving the identified problem. Examples are included in the server :)
